Living the College Life

Well, being 17 and moving to a whole new city has been a whole new experience. I loved being able to graduate from high school early and loved getting a head start on my education for my future. I have recently decided to get my Medical Assisting Degree with my Generals at LDS Business College, then transferring to Weber State, in Utah and going to get my Radiology Major and becoming and Ultra Sound Technician.

I am currently taking 12 units. My classes are Math, Communications, Pearl of Great Price, Medical Terminology, and IT. My IT class is a ridiculous computer class, I have a teacher who thinks that knowing a computer inside and out is the most important thing in the world. My math course is tough but I am trying to push through it as best as I can. I love my Pearl of Great Price teacher, he is from Bakersfield, California too (Brother Greg Wright). He is awesome. He truly knows his stuff. I have a great time in communications due to all the crazy friends I have in that class. My Medical Terminology is a lot of memorizing but is actually coming a lot faster than I thought it would. So overall I am having a great first semester.

I hope to be married in the future. The first week being single at the BC, I was asked on 8 dates. I also realized my first week of being here that this is where I was suppose to be. I knew that I had made the right decision by coming to Salt Lake City. It is weird being away from my sisters and the rest of my family, whom I am use to. But everyday it gets me more excited to go home and see them.

Jake is on his mission and doing well. He says he is speaking lots of spanish and learning a lot. I love and miss him everyday. It is still weird to me to not be able to pick up the phone and call him. But he will be home before we know it.

Everything is going well in my life. I hope it continues to get better and I know it will.
